Esimy Wallet is the account balance you spend at checkout — funded from multiple sources.
The original layer is our Loyalty Program: 5% cashback in Loyalty Points on every eSIM purchase, where 1,000 points = €1. You can also top up your Wallet in EUR, refer friends for €3 each, and receive Wallet credit when a refund to your original payment method isn’t available. One balance shows in real time inside the Esimy mobile app and the web dashboard. Nothing in your Wallet ever expires.
Esimy Wallet brings everything you’ve earned, topped up, or been credited into one place. Whether the value comes from your Loyalty Points (the 5% cashback program we launched with), an EUR top-up you added yourself, a referral bonus from a friend, or a Wallet credit from our support team after a refund, it all lives on the same balance and works the same way at checkout.
1. How your Esimy Wallet is funded
There are five ways value lands in your Wallet. Loyalty Points and referrals are automatic; top-ups are customer-initiated; refund and goodwill credits are added by Esimy when applicable.
1.1 — Loyalty Points: 5% cashback on every plan
- This is our original Loyalty Program — earn 5% back in Loyalty Points on the value of every eSIM you buy. No exclusions, no minimum spend, no tiers.
- Conversion: 1,000 Loyalty Points = €1. Spend €20 on a plan → earn 1,000 points → use them as €1 toward any future purchase.
- Points are added the moment your payment is confirmed — not after the trip, not after activation.
- Paying for a plan with your Wallet still earns 5% Loyalty Points on the new purchase. Your balance compounds.
- If an order is later refunded, the Loyalty Points earned on that order are reversed.
1.2 — Top up your Wallet in EUR
- You can credit your Esimy Wallet directly with EUR from your Esimy account, then spend it on any future eSIM purchase.
- Useful if you travel often and want to pre-fund trips, or if you receive Wallet credit from a colleague, partner, or company travel program.
1.3 — Referral bonus (€3 for you, €3 for your friend)
Available inside the Esimy mobile app — Google Play · App Store.
- You must have spent at least €20 in total across your Esimy orders.
- The friend you refer must place an order of at least €5.
- When both conditions are met, both of you receive €3 in your Esimy Wallet — credited as 3,000 Loyalty Points (3,000 points = €3).
1.4 — Refund credit (when a refund to your card isn’t possible or you’d prefer the speed)
- If your eSIM was already activated and a refund to your original payment method isn’t available under our Refund Policy, you may receive Esimy Wallet credit for part or all of the unused value instead.
- If you’d prefer a faster refund, you can also choose to receive your full refund as Wallet credit — added to your Wallet immediately rather than waiting 5–10 business days for your bank to process the return to your card.
1.5 — Goodwill credit
- Our support team can add Esimy Wallet credit at their discretion when something on our side hasn’t gone smoothly — a slow response, an unexpected delay, or simply to make a frustrating travel moment a little better.
2. How you spend your Esimy Wallet
- One balance at checkout. Loyalty Points, EUR top-ups, referral bonuses, refund credits and goodwill credits all spend the same way — the system uses whatever is in your Wallet.
- Pay 100% with Wallet if your balance covers the order, or split the payment — Wallet covers part, your card or other payment method covers the rest.
- No minimum redemption. Spend €0.50 or €25 — whatever your balance is.
- Stacks with everything. Wallet redemption combines with promo codes and still earns 5% Loyalty Points on the new purchase.
- Use it on any eSIM purchase — single-country plans, regional plans, top-ups, future products. If it’s an Esimy eSIM, your Wallet works on it.
3. Three real examples
- Sarah buys a €20 Schengen eSIM. The moment her payment goes through, 1,000 Loyalty Points (= €1) land in her Esimy Wallet. Three months later she buys another €15 plan and pays €1 from her Wallet + €14 from her card. She still earns 750 Loyalty Points (= €0.75) on the new order — Wallet didn’t disqualify her.
- Marco has spent €23 with Esimy over six months. He invites his colleague Luca, who buys a €7 Italy plan. Both Marco and Luca receive €3 in their Esimy Wallets — credited as 3,000 Loyalty Points each. Marco qualifies because he passed the €20 spend threshold; Luca qualifies because his order was over €5.
- Aisha activated a Japan eSIM but only used 200 MB before her trip ended early. A refund to her card isn’t available because the plan was activated and working — but our support team adds €4 in Esimy Wallet credit (about half the unused value) plus a €1 goodwill credit. She uses the €5 on her next trip to Greece three months later.
4. Rules and constraints
- Currency: Esimy Wallet is denominated in EUR. Loyalty Points convert at 1,000 points = €1.
- Expiration: Nothing in your Esimy Wallet ever expires — neither EUR balance nor Loyalty Points. What you earn or top up today is still there years from now.
- Transferability: Wallet credit and Loyalty Points are non-transferable and tied to your Esimy account.
- Cash withdrawal: Esimy Wallet is store credit only and cannot be withdrawn to a bank account.
- Account closure: If you close your Esimy account, any remaining Wallet balance — including Loyalty Points — is forfeited and cannot be refunded or transferred.
- Refund clawback: If an order paid with Wallet credit is later refunded, the credit returns to your Wallet automatically. Loyalty Points originally earned on a refunded order are reversed.
- Fraud or abuse: Esimy reserves the right to revoke Wallet credit and Loyalty Points and to suspend Wallet eligibility if abuse is detected (referral fraud, chargeback abuse, multi-account stacking, etc.).
5. Where you see your Esimy Wallet
- Mobile app — your Wallet balance and Loyalty Points update in real time. Download for Android or iOS.
- Web dashboard — log in at esimy.net/dashboard/ to view your balance, transaction history, top up your Wallet, and apply credit at checkout.
- Both surfaces share the same balance and update instantly when value is earned, used, or adjusted.
6. Account and eligibility
- Your Esimy Wallet is created automatically the first time you make a purchase — there is nothing to opt into and no separate “Loyalty Program” sign-up to complete.
- Every Esimy order is placed with an account, so every customer has a Wallet from day one.
- You can earn and redeem on the same account across web and the Esimy mobile app — one balance, one history.
7. Frequently asked questions
How does Esimy Wallet work?
Esimy Wallet is the account balance you spend at checkout. It is funded by our 5% cashback Loyalty Program (1,000 points = €1), EUR top-ups you add yourself, referral bonuses, refund credits, and goodwill credits. Everything spends as one balance, shows in real time in the Esimy mobile app and your web dashboard, and never expires.
What is the Esimy Loyalty Program?
The Loyalty Program is our cashback layer inside Esimy Wallet — the original feature we launched with. You earn 5% of every eSIM purchase back as Loyalty Points, where 1,000 points equal €1. Points sit in your Wallet alongside any EUR top-ups, referral bonuses, refund credits, or goodwill credits, and all of it spends the same way at checkout.
How much cashback do I earn?
5% of the purchase value, paid in Loyalty Points (1,000 points = €1). There are no excluded plans, no tiers, and no minimum spend.
When do my Loyalty Points land in my Wallet?
The moment your payment is confirmed — not after activation, not after the trip. If the order is refunded later, the Loyalty Points for that order are reversed.
Can I top up my Esimy Wallet in EUR myself?
Yes. You can credit your Wallet directly with EUR from your Esimy account, then spend the balance on any future eSIM purchase. Useful for frequent travelers who want to pre-fund trips.
Can I pay for a plan entirely with my Esimy Wallet?
Yes. If your balance — Loyalty Points, EUR top-ups, refund credits, anything in the Wallet — covers the full price, you can pay 100% with Wallet. If it only covers part, the rest is charged to your card or other payment method at checkout.
Does paying with my Wallet still earn cashback?
Yes. Loyalty Points are calculated on the full plan price, regardless of how you paid. Wallet redemption and 5% cashback stack — that’s how the balance compounds over time.
Does Esimy Wallet credit or Loyalty Points expire?
No. Nothing in your Esimy Wallet ever expires.
Can I withdraw Esimy Wallet credit to my bank account?
No. Esimy Wallet is store credit only and can be used exclusively on Esimy purchases.
How do I refer a friend?
Use the referral feature inside the Esimy mobile app (Android or iOS). Once you have spent at least €20 in total across your Esimy orders and your friend places an order of at least €5, both of you receive €3 in your Esimy Wallet (credited as 3,000 Loyalty Points each).
What’s the difference between my Loyalty Points and my EUR Wallet balance?
Functionally, none — both are part of your Esimy Wallet and both spend the same way at checkout. The distinction is only the source: Loyalty Points come from the 5% cashback program and from referrals; the EUR balance comes from top-ups, refund credits, and goodwill credits. Whatever the source, 1,000 points equal €1 and you spend the unified balance against any order.
What happens to my Wallet if I close my account?
Any remaining Esimy Wallet balance — including Loyalty Points — is forfeited and cannot be refunded or transferred to another account.
Can I use Esimy Wallet credit together with a promo code?
Yes. Wallet credit, promo codes, and the 5% Loyalty Program all stack at checkout.
What happens to my Wallet credit if I refund an order I paid for with Wallet?
The credit returns to your Esimy Wallet automatically when the refund is approved. Loyalty Points originally earned on the refunded order are reversed.
